Job description:
The E-Commerce Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing the company’s online sales channels to drive revenue growth, enhance customer experience, and ensure seamless order fulfillment. This role will collaborate with marketing, product, operations, and customer service teams to maintain product listings, run online promotions, track performance metrics, and implement best practices for digital commerce.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update product listings, pricing, and descriptions across e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, Etsy).
- Ensure product images, copy, and metadata are optimized for SEO and conversion.
- Manage website content updates, seasonal promotions, and banner ads.
- Coordinate online promotions, discounts, and campaigns with the marketing team.
- Collaborate on email marketing, social media, and paid advertising initiatives to drive traffic.
- Implement cross-selling and upselling strategies to increase average order value.
- Monitor and analyze online sales performance, traffic, and conversion metrics.
- Generate regular reports with actionable insights to improve sales and customer engagement.
- Track return rates, cart abandonment, and customer behavior trends.
- Coordinate with warehouse/operations to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Work with customer service to address escalated online customer issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels online to prevent overselling or stockouts.
- Research and recommend new tools, plugins, and features to improve site performance.
- Stay updated on e-commerce trends, competitors, and emerging technologies.
Skills
- Proficiency in SEO tools and techniques for conversion optimization.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing principles including performance marketing and analytics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, E-Commerce, or related field (preferred).
- 2+ years of e-commerce or digital marketing experience.
- Experience with major e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, Amazon Seller Central, etc.).
- Knowledge of B2B marketing strategies is beneficial.
